What is the optimum depth of history for identifying a useful signal? - page 15

I see that forum members are not interested in this at all unfortunately

You don't have enough money for the number of deals or lots and your patience to use all your time frame for trading ...face it, don't build castles in the air ...the impression I have (excuse me of course) is that you are no more than 7 months in the market and have not experienced all the "charms" of trading with real money

ZaPutina:

PS. There are people who trade on what they want to get, i.e. they set a desired level of profitability, and reduce their trading to it, sounds crazy, but nevertheless.

We are not discussing different methods of trading, we are only talking about the depth of history.

The impression is deceptive, I tasted it.

Nevertheless, can we get back to where we started?

So I was asking, if we trade intraday on minutes, and the trade is supposed to last half a day on average, what would be your optimal correct depth of history in bars (i.e. time)?

I was answering this question )))

27 points...I remember remember...but the question was different.

The answer to the question of how long the winter is-34 degrees-doesn't make sense to me.

The answer to the question of how long is winter-34 degrees, is not clear to me.

And how much depth of history do you need to trade intraday on minutes for example?
I have never tried and have never indulged in one-minute trades.

No, it's OK, we plan to hold the trade for 700-800 minutes and analyse it for 15-20 minutes.

I thought it would be a big story for a minuscule forecast. But here's a minuscule history for a giant forecast nicho.

The optimum in my view is a maximum of 2 trades a day

I didn't say anything about 700-800 minutes.
