Yes, the new versions of Mt4 are fully compatible with the old servers.

The broker's demo account logs in and everything works fine from the very first beta version (I didn't even need to configure anything), I was afraid to use the real one, I had to download and install another terminal.

You just did something wrong by copying the files manually. You have been pointed out several times, so no need to repeat "it doesn't work". Just sort out the configuration.
Never upgraded in the end.... If anyone has any problems, please post the entire terminal folder... or send it to xterno@bk.ru
Check the versions of other terminals installed, maybe there's a bug with the "friend-or-foe" system too and there's a surprise waiting for some of them :)

Of course I finally managed to log in after an hour of tinkering and dozens of restarts, but who gave you the right to erase files from my computer? I mean the expert set files disappeared after the update, the whole folder ./experts/presets disappeared...
