Yes. There was a situation with the Greek vote. While we waited, the eu was slowly climbing upwards. As soon as they voted in favour of the eu, it immediately went down. So expecting the news about the Senate vote to work in the dollar's direction... is a little dangerous. Analysts will then say "buy on rumour, sell on fact" ;)
