Here's a Cesar's mushroom.

Nah, I haven't tried that kind of thing.

Is this it?

Would you dare? :))

We also have mushrooms in our village called 'hens'. They're also toadstools :))

Indeed, a cesar mushroom of the fly agaric genus. It's edible.

I've tried rain mushrooms - they're a mess, with a specific chemical flavour.

So it's the umbrella mushroom.

An edible mushroom. You can roast it without boiling it and eat it.

...In Russia, there are about a million officials who are in our neck of the woods in one way or another and practically all of them are members of the United Russia. They will vote for the United Russia, it is clear.

...Another 5-6 million of their close relatives are added to the million of officials.

The close relatives also have cousins-in-law-shurins. Whose businesses are often heavily dependent on this initial first "mother" official. They understand this. And although in ordinary life with their entourage they also resent the actions of the "crooks and thieves" party, they are likely to vote for ER. That's about another 5-6 million....

Slightly different, Leonid...

The UR has a "one plus ten" programme.
Each civil servant or municipal official writes a list of 10 people who have pledged not only to come to the elections, but also to vote for the UR. These lists are then lumped together into one big tabloid, with the name of the main person (the one who submitted the person to the list), the name of the additional person (of the +10), address, polling station number and telephone number. On election day, young boys and girls on the phones randomly call up the lists.

Now for the salt: not a single employee (as you like to say official) wants to get fired for this crap and, accordingly, pussyfooting around to write there complete bullshit. Not only that, but everyone (out of about a million!!!) calls their "+10" and reports at two-hour intervals how many and which of them exactly voted. PEC numbers are listed, so it's easy to punch in.

Does anyone (from patria) still have this kind of electoral organisation? And such an opportunity to use administrative resources? And, mind you, not a word about falsification...

That's disgusting, ugh. I witnessed this scheme when I was working at the company - but I can't say how effective it is. Once again, it is a disgrace. And Bashkiria is such a decent giveaway, one of the first in terms of votes for the United Russia, although of all my acquaintances only a few voted for the United Russia.
