Help is needed to get the "Russian Fires 2010" portal up and running quickly. (russian-fires.ru). - page 6

Such a cataclysm will not go away, that's for sure

Swetten:

And how did this manifest itself?

Back then, this was expressed in special privileges despite the declaration of equal rights. After all, there were also Obkom hospitals and boarding houses, there were separate waiting lists for improved housing conditions and for the purchase of a car.

People have always disliked authority under any system.

You are probably partly right.

But look at the number of people dissatisfied with the current police. Or do you think there is nothing special about it?

Tension in society is rising.

Swetten:

The efficient managers who ruined the country were the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. That's something you've forgotten very quickly. Your beloved Soviet Union collapsed precisely because of ineffective management. And now there is no effective governance and it is not expected to happen anytime soon.

There was no effective fire-fighting system. There was a system for the whole country, but it worked more or less only in separate regions. It was introduced after severe fires of I do not remember now what year, and accordingly after great losses. The cuttings were cut and then maintained (cleaned) for some time. Then they were gradually overgrown.

Where I saw the fires, there were no tractors, no planes, no airborne troops, apparently it was all stuck somewhere in the suburbs of Moscow. There was aerial reconnaissance, allowing us to assess the situation.

We fought the fires as we always did, with local forces and resources. They helped each other. Now they don't help any more, it's every man for himself.

The most useful thing was competent training of people, coordination and propaganda. Wherever the authorities were experienced and not stupid, they did everything. They cleaned and ploughed, and did not build up where it was not allowed.

I do not see any fundamental difference then and now. And now, where there are no fools, villages do not burn down.

PapaYozh:

It is. Thanks to the efforts of, first and foremost, the media.

Swetten:
I have. By the efforts of the media in the first place.

The media's "efforts" do not come out of thin air.

Do you have personal experience with the police?

This is some fierce composite. I don't even want to comment on it.

But it is different now, isn't it? The USSR has been gone for twenty years.

You'd think everything would be all right now, wouldn't it?

But no, for some reason we still use what was made in the USSR.

It is frightening to think that maybe it was not the USSR at all? А?

PapaYozh:

Do you have personal experience of dealing with the police?

The media is in private hands, broadcasting what is beneficial to its owner. The owner now benefits from rising tensions, apparently.

Very rich. Why?

Swetten:
Very rich. Why?

I don't believe it.

PapaYozh:

I don't believe it.

You don't have to believe it or not, that's up to the ROC.

Why did you ask?

Swetten:
What was the USSR like before it died?

There was no sugar in the canteen:(
