Sorry, I thought I understood, in fact I didn't.The method I suggested has 2 disadvantages:
1) limitation on the lot at the bottom, so if good luck precedes bad luck, there will be a drain (but this can be beaten);
2) when the lot has grown, the difference in 1 step becomes negligible and practically ceases to affect the deposit.
PS. And in general that knocked out row is interesting.
