It's not that, there's no fabulousness. You know, super insight, superstrategic thinking, superpowers...I liked the principle of passive listening itself. multicurrency turkey of some kind ;)
Brain challenge: try to come up with a listening device that cannot be found by modern seekers and does not require a power source.
In his time, one very good man came up with the idea and sent suggestions to the relevant authorities. The result has been no answer and no word for a year now.

самое лучшее подслушивающее устройство придумывать не надо, всё придумано до вас.(я специалист в области защиты информации от утечки по техническим каналам одного НПО)
на сегодняшний день тяжелее всего искать каплю специального масла внутри пластика. это может быть даже просто полость определенной формы в пластмассе корпуса! И те можно найти.
Есть методики, и открытые и не очень, ГАРАНТИРОВАННОЙ защиты от прослушки, а также ГАРАНТИРОВАННОГО обнаружения любой прослушки!
Так что "одному очень хорошему человеку" ответ не придёт ВООБЩЕ.

Well, well, not so fast. There are no "guaranteed methods" of protecting-detecting OBJECTIVE-rooms. A simple charcoal microphone with a shielded tape recorder that writes to a thumb drive and shoots out into the air once a week at night is unlikely to be detected.
