A stable solution for working with a mysql database (reading and writing information). Mysql_wrapper keeps crashing the terminal.

BTRVODKAex

For this purpose an intermediate dll in c++\cli is written. You cannot call managed code from mql directly

When using mysql_wrapper the terminal crashes. is there any way to fix it? i've tested on HP and 7 build 7100 - the problems are the same.

What's wrong with using libmysql.dll?

It writes to the database perfectly, I haven't tried to read it, but I'm guessing it's not buggy either.

kombat >> :

What's wrong with using libmysql.dll?

Writes to the database perfectly, didn't try to read, but I assume also without faults.

For me, reading from the database is more important. If anyone has verified code for reading from the database with libmysql.dll please send it to me.

Here googled the code to read from the base via libmysql.dll:

Putting a "wrapper" to work with MS SQL database

ADOLib.mqh wrapper and the COM server itself,

which provides you with MS SQL (and not only!) ADOLib.dll.

Example of connection to MS SQL 2005 database "dbForex"

int createCnn=0;
int openCnn=0;
int Insert=0;

string StringConnection="DSN=dbForex;UID=sa;PWD=;";

int init()

Example operation:

CloseConnection();
Sleep(10);

openCnn=OpenConnection(StringConnection,adUseClient,0);
Sleep(30);
}

//and then write ticks into the database

string Company=AccountCompany();
string Symb=Symbol();

string CommandText="INSERT INTO Rates (TimeCurrent,AccountCompany,Symb,DateTimeRate,Ask,Bid) "+
"VALUES("+TimeCurrent()+", "+Company+"", "+Symb+"", "+DateTimeRate+"", "+Ask+", "+Bid+")";

I assume that ADOLib.mqh is in the "include" directory and

ADOLib in the "Library" directory.

Now in the \Library directory, register

this COM object and type in regsvr32 ADOLib.dll,

press Enter and this library will be registered,

all of this can be done either from the command line console or,

let's say Total Commander.

If you're running Vista you should run both TC and

console must be run under an

"Administrator" account.

Reason:
