In MT5 do I have to pay an extra spread relative to MT4? - page 11

sanyooooook:

In other words buy limit and sell limit orders should be executed in Bid and Ask respectively,

i got the same situation with limit orders in MT5 on forex (not forex pairs) as in MT4

I don't get it. Buy limit on bid and sell limit on ask?

How can that be? That should only make the spread increase. I can not imagine.

Contender:

Where this is the case, a commission is probably withheld.

The commission is much smaller than the spread.

When buy limit triggers (i.e. someone sold you the bid), you can sell it immediately at the bid price if the bid went up 1 point above the opening price (in Forts Euro futures, one point is enough to cover the commission) and no deduction of spread when you open the position.

And what is it per 1 lot traded?

sanyooooook:
for example in Forts eurdollar futures, one pip is enough to cover the commission and there is no deduction of spread when you open the position.

That is, if the spread is wide enough, I can enter and exit frequently.

That's a bit of a load of bullshit, isn't it?)

I take the eurodollar forts futures as an example.

commission for opening 1 rouble, commission for closing 1 rouble, price of a pip is 3 roubles. at 1 pip difference in the price we receive a profit of 1 rouble.

it is less than the usual 2 pips via MT4

depends on liquidity

 sanyooooook:
Depends on liquidity.

Hmmm... That seems about right.

Somebody's selling at a bid. I'm buying from them. Somebody else is buying from me. I sell to him. Seems about right.

The question is, why is the ask higher than the bid?

I'm confused.

I think it's a limit order to buy if I buy with limit orders and if I buy with the market to buy with the ask, then sell with the bid.

You have to use the market depth as an example, open a demo account at Otkritie and watch it, it's easier to understand.
