Discussion of article "Advanced Adaptive Indicators Theory and Implementation in MQL5" - page 2

The article is interesting, but for some reason I have not been able to see any of the adapted indices in action. All the ones that were offered for download did not want to work. MQL5 is a new language for me and it is difficult to understand it myself. Or maybe I did something wrong?

What do you mean - the indictors attached to the article don't work?

The CenterOfGravity, CyberCycle, CyclePeriod indicators work properly.

Indicators AdaptiveRVI, AdaptiveCenterOfGravity, AdaptiveCyberCycle use the CyberCycle indicator in their code. The name of the indicator is specified explicitly.

Most likely, you have put the indicators in a subdirectory, as a result of which AdaptiveRVI, AdaptiveCenterOfGravity and AdaptiveCyberCycle did not start. The problem can be solved in 2 ways:

1. Place CyberCycle indicator in the root.

2. In the code of AdaptiveRVI, AdaptiveCenterOfGravity, AdaptiveCyberCycle indicators, write the path to the CyberCycl indicator (for example: Examples\\CyberCycle).

Made me think.

Practical is the hard way, an incomplete optimisation, make so complicated, not only messy, but the indicator effect is not obvious, not advanced at all.

Automated-Trading:

Indicators CenterOfGravity, CyberCycle, CyclePeriod work correctly.

I placed all indicators in one folder Examples, but all Adaptive indicators still do not work.

What to do?

I downloaded a similar one and it worked.

Someone knows how to change the interval period inded of 6 to 63 how the article says?

Thanks, in advance.

I find out the way to change the variable period for another different changing the costant 6.28318 and maybe the compesation number 0.5 at this equation "DC =(6.28318/MedianDelta)+0.5;" at the code of cycle period, if someone has the same doubt.

I've realized that maybe there is a mistake in the article or It's not very clear why describes DeltaPhase is restricted between <0.1, 1.1> and in the code it's between <0.1, 0.9>.

I want to say that this is only my doubts and my thinkings but it's a great article.

Thanks a lot.

Nice work, investeo,

Could you give me a hint about how to get mathematically to the InPhase and Quadrature formulas from the Hilbert Transform?

I'm working on it, but it's resisting me.

Thanks
