Discussion of article "Exploring Seasonal Patterns of Financial Time Series with Boxplot" - page 14

fxsaber:

A quote would be nice.

I'll have no problem posting an EA here with 100% luck replication. Only if you will take it publicly with all the nerdiness.

An EA with tonnes of code is very annoying to de-bug, even with all the nerdiness. If there was a normal article with explanations, there would be something to discuss. And not for a particular dts (I don't consider such a thing at all)

Stanislav Korotky:

Make walk-forward (lots of pieces ;-). Build boxplot of profits of runs.

I'm ready to put the EA in the public if they do at least what you suggest with it. Plus any other studies with the obligation to publish them.

I.e. I do not want to snot about Gunn and other nonsense. I want to see concrete work that anyone can reproduce.

I have so many tasks of my own that simply because of the workload I am not ready to do it. If you do it, I'll post it right away.

In fact, the whole code is in six lines. From libraries - only MT4Orders.

И?

I responded with exactly the same arguments - you made an implicit optimisation, accidentally fitting it to OOS.

I don't need to explain what "real cycles are found" means.

Where are the claims that this is not the case?

fxsaber:

Where are the allegations that this is not the case?

Then there's nothing else to say, why would you write about it?

about your TC - it is not clear what kind of research should be done, so it is impossible to answer YES/NO.

I don't understand you at all.

about your TC, it's not clear what kind of research you need to do, so it's impossible to say YES/NO.

It's not mine, it's yours. I just did not make a moustache, and used the Optimiser. No judgement.

What's the difference in logic? I can optimise mine myself.

That's post-processing, not looking for a pattern.

There's no difference, I'm tired of talking. I suggested a constructive approach to continuing this thread. I'm not ready to give birth to letters in vain.

There's no difference in anything, I'm sick of talking. A constructive approach to the continuation of this thread has been suggested. I'm not ready to give birth to letters for nothing.

You want my approval? You could post it if you want, with a note that says, "This is where it should be researched."

My bot from the article should be posted and I should research it... hilarious, cool feedback to the article.
