Synchronisation will work without confirmation in any case, the checkbox refers to the first synchronisation when connecting to a signal (for example, if you have your own positions on the account).

If I connect to a signal where I already have losing positions and I don't want them to appear. Can I not tick the "Synchronise positions without confirmation" checkbox so that I can only have subsequent positions without these already existing ones? The terminal is running on VPS (just for the record).

And what if I manually close the trades from the supplier? Will they work again or will only subsequent ones be opened?
