I would say you didn't pay attention and research in Market enough. Read all the author's description to understand how the EA works. Any conduct your backtesting to create your own input for that EA. you can't just use the default.
And I would only add that your instruction is supported by my method. Personally, I investigate the unique characteristics of a specific instrument/symbol in a chosen market and then go about building an EA for it. If one believes in this method, one must know the specific instrument/symbol for which the EA was designed and preset. I would avoid any EA advertised as or implied to be "universal." Even where one has the designated symbol and settings, one must do his/her own backtest(s) due to differing broker-dealers, data feeds, trading machines, connection latencies, spreads, commissions, etc.
