Hello all
I'm thinking about getting a home server (probably second hand) for heavy backtesting, to take advantage of e.g. the Intel Xeon's large core and thread count. Two questions:
1. If I buy a server with two or more CPU's, each with several cores, will MQL5's optimization engine use both CPU's, as well as all of their cores (assuming I am running a lot of different permutations)? In other words, does it support a multi-CPU PC architecture?
2. If I decide to use MQL5 cloud instead, does it provide its own tick data for optimization? And, can I provide my own high-quality tick data if I wish?
Hope y'all are having a superb week!

My advise is going with MQL5 Cloud because it is cheaper than buying hardware and paying the electricity bills

Ok great, thank you for all the info Fernando!
Another question: does the MQL5 cloud network use its own tick data for calculations, or does it use the tick data that I provide via my terminal?
Regards,
Scott
