MetaTrader 4 download
Hello,
I have the need to download MetaTrader 4 for development purposes....
I tried this link https://www.metatrader4.com/en/automated-trading/mql4-ide, where I got the file mt4-setup.exe; but once clicked on it, and finished the installation procedure, I found MT5 instead of MT4.
Why ?
Currently the only way to obtain MT4 is to find an mt4 brokerage and download it from them.
I agree it is a bit tacky way to encourage mt5 usage. MQ has not responded to why they don't just tell people to search for mt4 broker and download. Again, they are pushing people to mt5.

You just need to find a broker that offers MT4 and download from them. There are plenty of brokers as a simple search will reveal.
