Short term profitable, long term disaster.

Profitable. If you choose a sensible lot, multiplying factor and good account balance.

Grid and Martingale aren't strategies, they are gambling.  If you have infinite funds, and no limit on lot sizing, then yes, theoretically they are both profitable.  But you don't have unlimited funds (because if you did, why are you trading at all?), so it's only a matter of time before the stakes get too high for you to continue your trading method.  You're gambling that you can squeeze some profits and leave before a string of losing trades (or trend breakout with grid) busts your account.

totally agree with you plus if you add an Equity drawdown protection against strong market movements in one direction sure makes it safer and not infinite!

it does works but for very short time.

It depends how the coder thought it.

Most of those strategies hedge/martingale/grid comes without stoploss, or one of those fancy's equity stop : by experience, I can say that's dangerous.

Otherwise yes, it's profitable.

It is necessary to control every day, and when the tendency arises up or down eliminate the transactions that are against the trend if in case the ea does not eliminate them as  stop lost

 it's profitable, but dangerous
