How much RAM is needed to run / debug code?

Hello everyone,

I have been slowly making additions to code my EA. I only have 1 GB (Type-DDR1) on my laptop.

The problem I am experiencing is that MetaTrader4/ MetaQuotes4 crash.

I think I know the answer, but is there any way to use external ram..

 
  1. My terminal has 21 charts with 6 indicators and a EA each. Task manager says it's using 36 MB
  2. Do you have virtual memory enabled in windows (control panel ->  system -> advanced?)
  3. Do you have options -> charts -> Max bars in chart set to something reasonable (65000)

DDR1 ? If not an error it's time to think about an other computer.

Hello,

The laptop is running Windows 7 starter. The laptop is just a stand in until I get around to replacing my desktop.
