price alerts to mobile phone? please

How do I set price alerts on lines in mt4?  I would love to receive the alerts as a text if possible and/or as an email. I have watched you tube video after you tube video on this and many say that MT4 does not have this functionality or that I must have a special type of paid email account to enable alert but I find it hard to believe that a trading platform does not have an alert setting. Any advice? 
 
  1. A lot of changes since February 3, 2014 (Build 600) including SendNotification
  2. SendMail has always been there. It's been a long time since most providers allowed port 25/no authorization. couldn't send reports from MetaTrader4 Administrator to Gmail Account - MQL4 and MetaTrader 4 - MQL4 programming forum
  3. Find/write/or have coded an indicator that does what you want.
