Stochastic EA - page 5

ChicagoRob:
Worst DD, so far, on a $3K mini demo was -$84. This morning, the

float is +$133. Float seems to be well controlled.

Did it take a while for the 1st trade to open up? I put this on my chart and still hasn't placed any trades yet and I don't have any errors showing in the log.

You have to wait for this EA to set up. It can happen immediately,

or it can take a day or two. One thing I've discovered is that the

setups are very good. I'm surprised how low the neg float is with

several charts running. I would think you could run two, three, or

maybe even four pairs without margin problems(given a decent balance).

I've got a friend checking out the code, as I write this message. He

thinks the MM can be improved and the Williams %R can be tweaked.

I don't think this EA needs much, though, since it's doing great out

of the box.

Yes, patience is a virtue! LOL!

Ok, if you don't mind, please keep us posted on the EA updates.

I'm also getting good results with 15 minutes. Mumsie

How do your results compare to M30?

I had two posts with statements. Now they are gone. Guess TSD

Stoch EA_mm Update

Extraordinary performance - 27% in eight days, with very low DD.

Report attached.

I'm also getting good results with 15 minutes. Also try setting each tick mode to "true" if it is on False. DO NOTtry on 1 hour as the Williams %R is hard coded on the 1 hour chart and if you are using the Each Tick MOde on True it may get into a baaaaad loop until the WPR moves out of range. Plus the number of trades is greatly reduced.

I will repost the EA so that you can change the trigger and close levels once I have done it. Should be soon although I am a bit busy. This will allow optimisation for various currencies, as they all have their own personalities.

BTW Leeb added money management to my EA, they are the one and the same. With Leeb's great addition we optimise the payback as the lot size auto increases with your equity.

Mumsie

Did you change any other settings? What do have "Reinv" set at?

MrFX

Same settings as mentioned in my prior post. 12 pairs, M30, all defaults,

except for reinvest, which is 15. I had initial lots at 1, but the EA started

out at .5. The lot size has now increased to .6, so that tells me MM is

working.

Great results there!

Are you still using the same settings as mentioned above? Also, I set the lot size to 1.0, but it opened a trade at .30.

Since we both set lots at 1, but have different starting lot sizes, perhaps

the EA is seeing a difference in the balance? I'm on a $3K mini with IBFX,

so my .6 lots are $.60/pip. What are you using?
