Stochastic EA - page 7

holyguy7:
Less than 1.5 minilots per trade on a 10K account is not too risky IMHO. Even if I close all trades now, I am still up 5% in less than a single DAY!!!!! How is that for performance?

As you can see by the statement, I am running many pairs.

Chicago Rob,

You are running a $3,000 account using 1/2 minilot and I am running a $10,000 account with 3X as much. I don't see the difference.

You're right: lots-to-balance is pretty close between our accounts.

I was surprised, though, regarding the 50% ratio of float to closed

profits. I have not seen anything close to this on my demo, but that

could be due to currency differences.

Needless to say, 5% in a single day is exemplary. What do you have

reinvest set at? I'm at 15.

I think you already know how great this EA is, performance-wise.

I'm going live very soon, as soon as I cherry-pick the four best

pairs from the 12 I'm running.

Keep us posted with your results.

Rob

Has some big potential. Maybe a time filter will help.

Backtest over 10yrs of data.

Forward testing is the most reliable , just my opinion here.

Going Live in 7 Days

Hi folka,

firstly a BIG THANKS to sfindlay for selflessly sharing his EA. I have been painstakingly backtesting and started forward testing the EA on a few currencies.

The results indicate that the EA can be profitable if the settings are tweaked somewhat.

I will be forward testing the following pairs in the respective timeframes -

EURUSD 30Min Chart (default settings)

EURUSD 4Hr Chart (TSL @ 45 pips)

AUDUSD 4Hr Chart (TSL @ 45 pips)

GBPUSD 4HR Chart (TSL @ 45 pips)

Provided the demo forward testing is anywhere near the backtesting results will be going live next week.....

Keep you all posted,

Bubble

closing trades

Hi

can anyone answer this question just starting to test this. Leaving the ea to default settings means the ea has no take profit, stop loss or trailing stop loss. Inspite of this how does the ea close a trade? Is it a stop reverse system?

Thanks
