PipeBomb! - page 2

I did back test it with alpari 1M data back to 2004 and it was a down curve all the years.

My results from the January 1, 2007 to yesterday. IBFX data. Not too good.

Yes, the EA has not performed well the first part of 2007. The market has been generally cruddy for trend traders lately. The profitability of the PipeBomb EA is definitely based on the precept of making up for lost time during strong trending periods which we really haven't seen so far in 2007. You can get a feel for what it would've done during the strong trend cycles of 2006 by looking at those backtest reports. I think the thing to do is to drop it on a demo account and forward test it. For now, the EA is just another concept perhaps worthy of investigation and monitoring.

I don't believe that's the reason for the poor backtest. Either mine or your data isn't accurate or something is setup differently. Changing market characteristics could not account for such a large drawdown when the largest drawdown in your backtest in 06 was only 1.29%.

Remedy - put it on a demo account and forward test it. The market has been ranging since the beginning of 2007 and this EA needs trending periods. My backtests were for 2006...I didn't look at 2007.

bluto: What broker did you test on?

bluto: What broker did you test on?

IBFX. .

bluto:
IBFX. .

Do you have 1M data for that period?

bluto:
When you say it "crashed", what are you referring to? The backtester? Do you have sufficient history data to obtain 90% quality?

When I say it crash I mean down curve.
