Yes...notice that leveling off in the recent couple of months or so...this is the typical behavior the EA demonstrated in 2006. A drop in equity of a few grand wouldn't be surprising. With the next trend cycle (who knows when?), you should see another stepped surge in profit. Not that backtests are the gospel, but I think the key is % of wiining trades vs. losing trades, and the avg. winning trade value vs. losing trade value. This EA seems to have the factors to provide long haul profits as long as you're willing to endure the lean periods. That's my take on it at this point. We'll have to forward test it and watch what it does, but logically it makes sense. You've got good equity and order mgmt. in this EA, and about as good of a signal indicator as you're going to find. There will be losing streaks, but it's what happens in the mix long-term that counts.

What I like about this EA unlike Martingale types is that the losses are quick and right there in your face...you don't have large chunks of drawdown float costing you interest or making you wonder what's gonna happen next. If you don't like the market action, pull the plug and jump back in when the trends resume.

Hi, bluto! As I understand, your EA do not only enter trade after StepMA gives signal (as it happens in Pipe Trader's strategy), but it buys\or sells again and again in the direction of StepMA after getting out be trailing stop?

Hi Bluto, do you (or anyone else for that matter) know where I can find the special Step_MA indicator needed for this EA? Thanks.
