I actually solved my prb.

This was a Vista issue. There is a 'compatibility folder' button that you need to click on Vista explorer to see the log files. (how stupid is that????)

This might help others.

The optimization of Metatrader is very slowly but there's a free program called (forex strategy builder) , it's faster than Metatrader.

I think it just need some development and it will be a great optimizer program.

 
 

Where to Get BackTest Data? - Downloaded but still 25%

Hi,

I downloaded FXDD's 1min backtest data here:

MetaTrader 1-Minute (M1) Data | FXDD

Looks great, every minute since 2005 I think, but when I backtest I'm still getting 25% accuracy. Any thoughts?

25% is the maximum for M1 timeframe.

 

MT4 Optimization

Does somebody know how to set the MT4 optimization tool in order to maximize the % Win trades i.s.o the Profit ?

Why?

What is wrong, I back test month by month and i get good results. When i back test 2008-2009 I get lots more losses. I picked worst month for losses, run it only and got great profit.

The results of backtesting are really different from one platform to another!

With Fx Pro: I happen to do any ..! Figure plunging always late

The results to be closest, without being identical, are between WHC Trader and Active Trader.

I do not understand why

seemingly high profits ???

Hi,

I have simple trading plan, which indicate cca 100 % per month.

I backtested it on 5 months, but the results are the always same.

When i set up demo account, my initial investment was 300$ and i evaluate it on 600$ during the one month.

Count, i started in january - 300$, february - 600$, march - 1200$, april - 2400$, may - 4800$, june- 9600$,

july - 19200$, august - 38400$, september - 76800$, october - 153600$, november - 307200$, december -614400$.

During the one year 614400$ ??? i dont know believe it. It is really trading such easy? I know that somwhere i am wrong,

but i dont know where... please help me
