how is the rifined elliott trader? i looked into it and watched a few of his vidoes a while ago and it looked pretty cool. unfortuninately it is expensive as hell. and to get realtime quotes from esignal you have to purchase a module that has to be updated every year. how is your experience with this program? is it worth it?

 

DDE Import to Metatrader

I know that the metatrader platform can export DDE data.

What I would dearly like to do it the reverse, import data into Metatrader.

I have a realtime data feed that I use for Tradestation 2000, and in conjunction with Hyperserver can get all my stock and indices data into TS2000.

What I would like to do is concentrate everything on the Metatrader platform and therefore want to import uisng DDE either directly or through a third party add on.

Obviously, it would ideally (although not essential) work alongside my existing FX data provider who supplied the Metatrader platform

What am I doing wrong here...?

I am using the HST to CSV converter from earlier in this thread. I downloaded Alpari MT files and tried the hst-csv several times with different settings, M$ Excel 2003,and I get this as a result:

I have the same problem as DollarShort.

Tryied different settings, different input data, different output format, and always the output data is really messed up.

Any ideas?

"Free-of-Holes" Charts

Here https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/1407 you can find a nice script to display all minutes in a chart.

If you drop the script onto a chart it creates a .hst file that you can view on an offline chart.

Coders please help! If you load the .hst file into the history centre it disregards the added minutes created by the script.

I want to load the .hst file into the history centre, select the range I need and export it into a .csv file to open with Excel.

There is a file converter in this thread to convert .hst to .csv, but some people, including me, cannot get it to work.

1. Some people are using e-signal. And some people are using IDLoader to get live data to Metastock, TS, eASCTrend, Superchart an so on. This IDLoader is free and you do not need to register anywhere. English version is here http://www.fxclub.com/ids/

I used this program many times and it is good software if you want to get free data to other trader's software.

Hey ND can you post a direct link to this? I'm not sure how to set it up. Getting a free feed to metastock or tradestation would be exceptional!

 

if you are using metastock or tradestation and want free forex data. go to akmos trade. download akmos idle.it blows idloader away. it is much easier to use and hast a data importer for for historical data that you are missing in global server. the one downfall is you have to regester and every 3 months refresh your password.

I don't mind re-registering etc. But this is pefect I will give a try and post results. Thank you very much!
