Need Advice on how to Slpit valume data feeds for custom indicators.

Yes, how is everyone!

I'm an old common stock investor who always used volume as the acid test for timing(direction is highly manipulated, so I have a few tricks). Back in the early 80's(yep, I'm old) I wrote my indicators in GWBasic, with all the various volumes as my main architecture. I now intend to conquer FOREX(hehe), but top volume data feed is what I need. Any exhaustive resources and thoughts?

You need a platform other than MT4 . . .

esignal, Nadex, what? I've heard of MultiChart and I think NinjaTrader.

Maybe MT5 (//), but its still new, not many broker using this yet.

Ah, but I'm not interested in taking on clients. I want a stand alone data feed NOT accessible by the broker. Would MT5  be suitable for me?

Well you are way off topic for this Forum then . . .

blah, with 6,526 posts to your name, you should know better.

Anyone know the acumen of the volume data feeds from these sources?

  • eSignal
  • Metastock
  • MetaTrader
  • MultiCharts
  • NinjaTrader, and
  • TradeStation

You may want to Google that.

However I think that's not gonna be easy to find : top volume data feed for 4 trillions a day de-centralized forex market.

Perhaps someone might know of any "Volume Spread Analysis" indicators already compiled for MT4?

I've heard that from all the Cyprus/bucket shop kind of brokers who offer those tiny charts we're supposed to make decisions by. You know, the itzybitzy line graph charts that can't be seen clearly? Of course, they never show volume, heaven forbid. That's the first tip-off that your looking at a casino style offering. TradeRush even told me when pressed, "we cater to beginners". What a sham! You wont find THAT in their site's services description.
