Lower triangle in the charts = ?

[Deleted]

Hi,

kind of a silly and short question. Every chart in MT4 has 2 triangles, one touching the upper border of the chart, the second one touching the lower border.

Now the upper triangle lets you choose how far to the left should the chart be shifted (or moved) if you toggle the chart shift.

What does the lower triangle do? =)

o/ cheers and thanks.

Fc.

Omg, I learned something new. The Upper Triangle can be moved. Sorry I've never seen the Lower Triangle. What Option/Version is that in? Also, I wonder if that Upper Triangle can be move by Code?

I laughed :)) totally know the feeling :))

It's build 401. Dont know about moving it by code, but the lower triangle should be hidden in the left corner if you hadn't been moving it :)

Thats probably why I haven't seen it. I'm still running Build 225.

Really noone can explain this one? :) To help out, I know that tooltip on the lower triangle says "fixed chart position" however, what does that mean?

When you set it on some bar, then MT4 will try maintain date range when zooming in and zooming out. For example setting it to Monday on D1 chart and then switching to W1 you will get week bar on triangle that contains Monday that you set on D1.
