Publisher account details - external application writing to file - page 2

Interesting thread.. my first comment was removed. Glad to have the question answered. There seems to be always a way to manipulate flat text files as an alternative, as we have done with our latest EA that pulls params from a txt file instead of from the parameters inside the terminal window. We are building an MT companion software in .net because as EAs become more complex, their manipulation with many parameters becomes complex for the end user, especially when some of our EAs now have over 30 params and depending on global settings should be loaded on x pairs (increasing the number of pairs an EA is trading is equivalent to increasing lot size for 1 pair, when the pairs are similar such as EUR/USD and GBP/USD - which will generate similar signals in the same direction).

Regarding this ad issue, having a *reasonable* attitude toward commercial contributors, provides an outlet for discussion that is mutually beneficial - as opposed to more *oppressive* forums (will not name names!) that end up NOT having that content and expert participation due to their restrictive policies, which also have caused many other competitive forums to exist. cameo, i like your suggestion EESfella.
