In forex the risk should be as low as possible. Never put greed. If you want more money then add more money before adding risk.

It's a percentage . . .  the account balance is irrelevant.

But if you wish to maintain the percentage risk and gain more what do you do? You increase the balance right?

Yes,  but that isn't the question that this Poll is about.  It is about percentage risk per trade and that is not dependant on Account balance . . .   unless the balance is tiny then the account should be a micro account and then the percentage is still relevant.

Risk per trade should be very low then like 1% because one might have multiple open trades. For the entire account not more than 20% when all open trades possible are opened.

If a Signal provider has tested his/her strategy properly, has good money management and is confident enough that he/she won't let his/her subscribers down why wouldn't he/she have confidence enough for more exposure than a paltry 1% ?

Excellent poll Raptor :)

Your poll is irrelevant. There is no correlation between confidence and %risk per trade. It depends of the strategy : do you open 1 trade at a time, do you open 10 trades or 100 trades. It would be more relevant to talk about global risk. Even then there is no direct link between risk and confidence in the strategy, it depends of the tolerance to risk of each provider.  A provider who likes risk can take heavy risk, and someone more careful will take little risk.

i agree with angevoyageur risk isnt directly proportional to "confidence" more so where multiple trades can be opened.
