Right now, one position has been closed. This system works by setting up two pending positions, one to buy and one to sell, which will reach the price, and then executing them, very simple system. I have a lot of doubts that this system passed the challenge... My setting is default and 1% risk with 100K deposit

I will update accordingly later on

Kind regards

Hi, so the system works by taking breakouts from significant highs and lows not just setting buy and sell orders. They are totally different orders and are not placed at the same time. The strategy may seem simple on face value but has a lot more factored in behind the scenes.

Also this EA has an aggressive trailing stop loss that is the key to why this EA works so well and has worked so well for others.

Personally to me, it looks like a very simple system that puts two pending positions at the lowest and highest levels of the day. Then, one of the positions is executed, and if it hits, it's good, but if it doesn't, it's a loss. Also, the maximum daily DD in Prop Firms is 5% , so writing that losses and slippages are normal is not what I expect.

I'll provide an update next week, and if the results are good, I'll change my review.

It’s a breakout strategy so after having a pullback of ‘x’ candles it will have an order placed. Then once in a trade it will trail the stop loss straight into profit as soon as it’s possible to minimise losses. Having a loss is normal though, I can send you a video showing multiple losses risking 3% per trade in a challenge and still passing if you’d like.

Again if you have any questions feel free to ask. Happy trading

Well, just an EA opening two pending positions at the lowest and highest prices of the day but then either they execute them or don't.

At the moment when there will be two major moves during the news, two positions will be realized and two will close at a loss.

It's been 2 days and the balance is like this, one losing position and two pending open. I'm confident this EA will not be able to pass that easy 14 day test of 5% as on trial challenge

But I am going to follow up and let you know about its progress.

As a small suggestion, and in view of the fact that I tested several different robots with minimum or maximum breakout system, I recommend you add some kind of news filter to protect an EA against losses during important announcements but it doesn't help for type of systems.

Be well,

Hi, often these large news events that breakout to the upside or downside are the trades that gives this EA the most profit. These usually are the trades that are larger wins as the EA can trail the stop loss quickly when price is moving quickly essentially. So we won’t add any news filters to this EA.

What you are describing (“having one loss and two open orders on day 2”) is a completely normal for the EA. Please give it time, most challenges are 30 days. Also I did recommend choosing a risk setting of 3/4% per trade not 1 like you are currently using.

The testing results are clear, and the live results have allowed me to pass challenges personally. If you don’t believe that to be true or that you don’t think it will pass that’s absolutely fine but please maybe consider next time leaving it more than two days and one trade (which is totally normal) to review your experience. Any questions don’t hesitate to message me!

I followed your advice and raised the risk to 3%, and the second market position was closed today. Of course, more risk means more profit or loss, and in this case, a loss.

This robot works at random (maybe profit, maybe stop loss or canceled pending orders) After closed the positions EA placed again the two new pending positions:)

I'm sure now is impossible to passed the challenge with this EA

Already 4.5% drawdown when the daily max DD is 5%

...One more such position and the account will get supended from challenge.

Regards,

Hi, im sorry the market conditions aren't going in your favour for the challenge. This robot does not work at random though so I think that is unfair to say. There is an input for expiration of orders so this may be what you are seeing. Like with any forms of trading, success isn't guaranteed but most prop firms have a 10% drawdown so you should be okay. This isn't an EA that wins every single trade in the market. Like previously said if you feel like this wont pass the challenge thats fine but I can assure you its worked for me and others having used this EA. It's not a guaranteed pass every month of course, just an EA that can put you in a good position to passing.

Hello Bailey,

I have been runing the EA on live price with some good results but the backtest results from  January 2023 to YTD look pretty bad. Can you give some comments? I used the reccomended settings, of course

Thanks

Hi,

EA is good for Gold spot..i changed my own setting.

The provided setups by Author with JPY is risky and blow my prop firm account. Its not recommended to use 4% risk at all. better use 1-2% and size of pullback can be 1 or 2. for gold.

JPY make some profit but also loss some profit....EA in general is good with proper settings.

Hi, having tested from the 1st to the 1st of each month this year it passed 3/5 months. And the other two that didn't pass still ended in a profit (not 10% but not a loss) so with firms such as FTMO if you took one every month you would not have lost any accounts. You either would've had a pass or a free retake.

These EA's are harder to test as people start challenges at any point in the month, ive just tested from the first day of the month until the first day of the next month. It's not a guaranteed pass every time of course but this EA has proven backtests and live that it can pass prop firm challenges.

I tested on multiple pairs, forex, commodities and indices and overall consistently USDJPY with these settings performed the best over multiple years. If you would like to try other pairs and settings that's absolutely fine! :)

Hi, this EA does not win every single trade. It does not use martingale. It does not use grid. Meaning yes you will get losses but overall the EA tries to come out with a profit every month. Patience is important.

If you have any more questions just ask!

Hi Bailey, yeah I have actually been doing some optimizations with the Tester and the final parameters I found are very very close to the ones you suggest so all good. I'll keep testing on Demo and publish a review when I take it live. But for now, the results are very very promising :)  Thanks!

Hello,

I increased the risk to 3% based on what you suggested last time, and the account closed/suspended in FTMO challenge.

The maximum DD there is 5% daily and the account also has total DD 10% overall, but here it's reached 12%.

EA did not succeed passing the challenge  with EA.

I have done alot of backtesting with Indicies using two brokers ICM & Roboforex both ECN accounts.  The results on ICM are incredible but do not mirror the results on Robofoex which were very poor.  Can you explain the difference?

I used the following setting on USTECH

TIMEFRAME 5 MINS

PULLBACK 2

EXPIRATION 24

LOTS 0

FIXED PERCENTAGE 1

TAKE PROFIT 1000

SL 150

TRAILING SL 35

SL 15

BOOM!!
