thank you for your further information.

I opened an Pepperstone - account, the live-account isn't confirmed so far. But it shouldn't matter if live or demo. Have a look in my video with your broker Pepperstone. When I have technical problems like yours, I delete all history data and sometimes I uninstall MT4 and install it again, after cleaning my registry.

Have a look at the last comment, because I opened an Pepperstone - account and meanwhile I testet Momentum-solo with my Pepperstone - live-account, with the same results.

Hello 4xplosion,

I always write and compile with the newest build and test with different live- and demo- accounts. The solo should run with Vers. 4.00 Build 880.

I still have one broker with Build 840, live- and demo- account. Solo runs on both accounts.

Make sure you use default - settings first. (e.g. show_first_Alert_arrows_only=true is a live-setting and shows no arrow until a candle closed with the right conditions)

If I have technical problems, I delete all history data and sometimes (maybe once a year) I uninstall MT4 and install it again, after cleaning my registry.

Before uninstall - make sure, you save all your important files, like indicators, templates and so on, otherwise it will be lost.

But try to download the newest Vers. you can get from your broker.

well...I updated to build 880 and followed your setting instructions.......still won't load............Tallinex broker if that helps.....

also, just so you know the mt4 was updated by broker, so no need to delete the old registry, etc

I opened an Tallinex demo- account and downloaded MT4 Vers. 4.00 Build 880 from the brokers site. Momentum-Solo runs accurate, no faults so far, please watch the video I made for you.

I'm having the same problem even with following every step you showed on youtube video....tried "false", tried "true" as per pictures....still does not load.....

did you try with an empty chart, maybe it has an conflict with an other indicator.

Yes, I tried with empty chart...still won't load....I appreciate all your effort, if you are comfortable with it...I have no problem with using Team Viewer....for you to access from your end...if so, I'll pm you my skype so we can arrange a date and time...thanks

Update:  OK...it's running now but only on my VPS remote connection chart!  I wonder why that is.....it's the exact same broker (tallinex), but it only activates on my vps....

any suggestions?  I don't use my vps for trading it's only for running ea....any suggestions?

Hello 4xplosion,

nice to hear about your success, at least on your vps.  I have no suggestions.
I run my indicator on Win-XP Laptops and Win 8.1 Desktop with different brokers and accounts. So I have no idea.

take one Indicator on the chart   - Trend_Strength = 0 -
and change the color of the arrows,

then,
take a second Indicator on the chart   - Trend_Strength = 2 -

1. what you see => the first one shows good momentum anywhere / trend-less
2. what you see => the second one shows good momentum in trend-direction only

well,  I'm back in office on thursday. I'll make a short movie to show you the advantage.

Here is the content from the video, I hope it will help you understanding:

The reason for 3 different Momentum-Signals:

orange arrows = all momentum, no trend-filter, red and green are on top of orange, so you can't see them

blue arrows = sidekick = very strong momentum, no trend-filter 

green and red arrows = momentum with the trend only, because: "the trend is your friend"

 

now I can see all momentum signals, classified for different risk-groups:

 

Notice! => that are my personal suggestions

very strong momentum => medium / low risk

no trend => medium / high risk

with the trend => low risk

 

please use my Template for Momentum-Solo

Hi, Claus Just bought your indicator, but whenever I change "show first alert arrow only" to true..... all arrow are gone. When I put false all of the arrow are showing. Can you fix this? Also could you add push alarm? thank you, Regards

I want to add:

The true option in "show 1st alert arrow only" works in back test and I have not tried it in live condition.

It seems the true option only works in back test..... but did not show in history....
