Please download v1.1 this features has been added.
Hello, thanks for this.
I maybe being dumb, but I'm getting no alerts.
The Experts tab is saying it's initialised, and the Journal tab is saying it's loaded successfully.
I've named the trendlines "tl1" and "tl2" (without quotes) in the Description field in each trendline settings. Alerts are set as shown
Any clues to what may be wrong?
Thanks again
Please ignore above, I can't delete for some reason.
I was naming the Description field instead of the Name field. Yes, I was being dumb (sleep-deprived)

I've used this for a month now and I have to say it's giving lots of false-positives. Even with TriggerCandle set to 2, it will alert without price being nowhere near the trendline.
Is there anything that can be done to reduce its sensitivity?

Can you please send me an example with a print screen of the alert and the chart?

I am trying to reproduce what you mention and I cannot. Furthemore please set TriggerCandle to 1. Note that you can only have one trendline tl1 and one tl2 on the same chart.
Can you please send me an example with a print screen of the alert and the chart?
Hi, setting TriggerCandle to 1 is better. What does that setting actually do, may I ask?
I just caught this image for you. Note the alert is saying UP BREAK, and note the candle has not crossed the line. This is not as bad as it was last week (with TriggerCandle = 2). I'll see if I can catch a "better" example.
Hope this helps, and thanks again

Thanks for the print screen but it would be more useful if I could also see the time in the x axis of your chart. The Triger candle is the one producing the alert, 0 means the forming one , 1 means the one before the forming one (which means the candle close before the forming one), 2 means two candles before the forming one. The indicator can produce a false alert (which is not actually false because the condition of crossing is met) when you create or move the trendline across the setting trigger candle. For example if you set the trigger candle to 1 and move the trend across candle 1 it will produce an alert.
Is it undestood?

Thank you, and apologies for the delayed response. I understand, much clearer.
May I offer the following suggestion as a description for this parameter:
TriggerCandle = 1; The candle that will trigger the alert (0 = the current, forming candle; 1 = the candle before the forming candle ; 2 = two before ...)
The markets I monitor have been really quiet this week, so I have had little opportunity to capture a better screenshot for you. I just wanted to reply to let you know I have read your response.

Thank for your suggestion.
To capture you can use a 1 min chart on any instrument and just create the trendlines close to the price bars, but I dought that you will get a false alert.
