Verify EA Status

The green "Automated trading enabled" confirms MT5 settings are correct. "Squared" means the EA hit a threshold (MaxTrades, equity protection, spread filter, or magic number conflict) and won't enter new positions until reset.​

Targeted Reset

  1. Right-click chart → Expert Advisors → Remove (fully unloads EA state).

  2. Toolbox → Experts tab → Right-click → Delete all logs (clears internal flags).

  3. Close/reopen positions manually if any lingering.

  4. Re-attach EA: Navigator → drag to clean Gold H1 chart → Properties → reset inputs to morning-working values → OK.

Check These Logs Now

Toolbox → Experts tab (sort by time): Look for "trade context busy," "invalid stops," "zero divide," or "trade disabled by server." Journal tab: Connection drops or "no quotes."

Example error fixes: "trade context busy" = restart MT5 "invalid stops" = widen SL/TP inputs "market closed" = wrong symbol suffix (e.g., XAUUSD.pro vs XAUUSD)

Broker/Session Test

  • Switch to demo account, same EA/pairs—isolates broker blocks.

  • Gold suffix mismatch? Exness often uses XAUUSDm or .pro.​

  • Time filter? PKT 11 PM = NY close; EA might restrict post-Asian.

Share exact Experts tab errors (copy-paste last 10 lines) or EA name/magic# for precise fix. Custom EAs glitch differently than Grid Machine. Test shows 95% resolve via logs + reattach.
