Kiwi Momentum Bot MT5 — Momentum Seed Engine + Smart Grid Basket Manager
Kiwi Momentum Bot MT5 is a free Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that combines a momentum-based automatic seed strategy with an interactive Smart Grid Basket Manager.
Unlike a conventional grid EA that immediately begins opening positions, Kiwi Momentum Bot separates the system into two stages:
Momentum finds the opportunity. The Smart Grid manages the basket.
The EA can automatically identify BUY and SELL seed opportunities using momentum indicators, or you can place your own manual trades and allow the EA to manage them as independent grid baskets.
Momentum Seed Engine
Automatic seed entries are generated using momentum-based market analysis.
The engine can work with several momentum measurements:
- Momentum (MOM) — measures the strength and speed of price movement
- RSI — evaluates directional strength
- MACD — provides momentum and trend confirmation
- ROC — measures the rate of price change
- Hybrid Mode — combines multiple momentum conditions
Higher-timeframe confirmation can also be used to help filter lower-quality entries.
The recommended default configuration uses the Hybrid Momentum Engine.
Three Trading Profiles
Kiwi Momentum Bot includes three selectable seed profiles directly on the interactive dashboard.
CONSERVATIVE — stronger momentum requirements, fewer automatic seed trades.
NORMAL — balanced filtering and trading frequency.
FREQUENT — DEFAULT — relaxed momentum thresholds designed to identify more trading opportunities.
The profile affects the automatic seed entry engine. It does not change the fundamental grid basket-management system.
Automatic + Manual Seed Trading
The EA supports two ways of starting a basket.
AUTO SEED
When the Momentum Engine identifies a qualifying opportunity, the EA can automatically open the first BUY or SELL position.
That position becomes the seed for its basket.
MANUAL SEED
You can also place your own BUY or SELL trade.
The EA can recognize the manual position and manage it using the same basket-management system.
This makes Kiwi Momentum Bot useful both as an automated EA and as an interactive trade-management tool.
Independent BUY & SELL Baskets
BUY and SELL positions are managed independently.
The dashboard displays information for each side including:
Orders • Lots • Basket P/L • Break-even • Next Grid Level • Basket Target
This allows BUY and SELL baskets to coexist while maintaining separate calculations and management.
Smart Grid Basket Manager
If price moves against a seed position, the EA can progressively add grid positions according to the configured rules.
Main grid controls include:
Max Orders Per Side
Limits the number of positions allowed in each basket.
Grid Distance
Controls the distance between grid additions.
Lot Multiplier
Controls how position size develops through the basket.
A multiplier of 1.00 keeps grid orders at fixed size, while values above 1.00 progressively increase exposure.
Direction Control
Choose BUY, SELL or BOTH.
Pause Grid
Temporarily stop additional grid orders without removing the EA.
Basket Profit Management
Rather than treating every grid position as an unrelated trade, Kiwi Momentum Bot calculates the basket as a whole.
The EA continuously monitors the basket's combined position and break-even level.
With the default Money Target mode, the profit objective automatically scales from the original seed lot size.
When the basket reaches its target, the EA can close the complete basket.

This allows important trading controls to remain accessible without repeatedly opening the EA Inputs window.
Drawdown Protection
Grid strategies can create substantial exposure, so Kiwi Momentum Bot includes multiple drawdown controls.
The recommended default configuration uses:
BUY Basket DD: 5% of balance
SELL Basket DD: 5% of balance
Each side therefore has independent protection.
A separate Master Balance Drawdown protection layer is also included, with a default setting of 40%.
The EA additionally includes cooldown/resume logic, spread protection and execution safeguards.

Important
Kiwi Momentum Bot is a grid-based Expert Advisor. Grid and lot-multiplier strategies can create significant exposure during strong or prolonged market movements.
The drawdown controls are additional safeguards, not guarantees against losses.
Always test the EA using the Strategy Tester and preferably a demo account before considering live trading. Broker spreads, symbol specifications, leverage, execution and market conditions can materially affect results.
