AUTOMATED OPTIMISATION
We have developed an automatic optimization mechanism for this EA, you can download it (for free) there.

This article is the second part of the description of the Optimiser of our BuddyIlan EA.
It describes a ready-to-use solution.
The idea is, from a panel of currencies, to select the strongest and to organize them properly on the terminal. In this way, you will see at a glance active currencies
AUTOMATED OPTIMISATION
You can find attached a final release of the optimisation tool (1.40).
All required files are included in the attached zip.
How to install :
- Install 2 "Metatrader 5" instances (you can use the same broker and account), the first one will be the main one, it will operate 24/5 and the second will only be used for optimization,
- Open both instances and install "BuddyIlan" EA on each one,
- Download and unzip attached file (BuddyIlanOptimisation.1.40.zip),
- Copy "Expert" and "Include" directories in the MQL5\Expert and MQL5\include directories of the main MT5 instance (menu "File" / "Open Data Folder"),
- Still on the main instance, launch "Metaquotes Langage Editor" and open "BuddyIlanOptimizer.mqproj" (Expert Advisors),
- Compile it (F7),
- On the second instance, memorize the data folder (menu "File" / "Open Data Folder"), e.g. "C:\Users\Administrateur\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\FE0E658456B7B40DDA25080872C34D61",
- Go back to the first instance of MT5, open a chart on each pair you want to trade and attach to each the EA "BuddyIlan",
- Don't forget to allow "DLL import" on the main MT5 instance (Options / Expert Advisors / Allow DLL imports),
- Open another chart on any pair, attach the "BuddyIlanOptimiser" EA and set the "Terminal Tester Data Path" parameter with the path you memorized above (data path of the second instance).
- Close the second MT5 instance.
That's all !
The optimization can be started manually or via the scheduler, it optimizes the pairs automatically each week.
The whole process is automatic, it will open the windows of the selected pairs, reduce the others.
You can also select the nature of the agents (local, remote or cloud) - if your EA are running on some virtual host, the cloud can be a good solution
