Version 5.2 of GS smart5 has actual gold settings when selecting the Use strategy=XAUUSD M5 parameter. The results of my trading:
With an initial deposit of $1000, a profit of $214 was made in 6 hours of trading, that is, + 20% to the deposit amount.
The AH mode can be activated by the corresponding button at any time of trading when one of the series shows a loss. Enabling the mode creates a series of pending Stop orders in the direction opposite to the loss, the total volume of which will exceed the volume of unprofitable orders. Continued market movement in an unprofitable direction activates positions on these pending orders. The EA will close all orders when the total profit is positive. At any time, you can turn off the AH mode with the button, then pending orders will be deleted and the Expert Advisor will continue to work in its original mode.
1. Pending orders are created without SL by default. If a certain number of orders are triggered and the market reverses, these positions will create a larger loss or simply fix it.
2. When the order closing command comes from the Advisor, there is a slippage effect when the quote changes during the closing process. Each order is closed at its own price. This can lead to a total loss of profit on all closed positions.

Gold trading option XAUUSD M5 with GS smart5 Expert Advisor:
1. Set the parameters of the Expert Advisor and attach it to the chart if gold is getting more expensive

2. The working cycle of trading does not require the intervention of a trader
3. If an alert is received on the phone about entering the Hedge zone, a trader's intervention is required:
3.1. Disable the Trade Buy button
3.2 Visually assess the nature of the price movement and its potential by levels
3.3 Take into account the context of the news and draw a conclusion about moving in an unprofitable direction: This is a local or global correction.
If there is a local correction, we can observe how the situation will develop further.
If global, you should press the AH mode button to enable Active hedging mode.
In this mode, the EA will create pending SELL orders with the TP set to compensate for the loss.
Open Buy positions will receive the corresponding SL.
If the movement in the unprofitable direction continues, pending orders will be triggered and eventually all Sell and Buy positions will be closed with a total positive profit.
3.4 If the pending orders have been triggered and the market has turned around, then SELL orders will now create a greater loss than Buy orders.
When the Sell loss exceeds the Buy loss, turn off the AH mode button to cancel the Hedge Buy mode.
And turn on the AH mode button again to start the Hedge Sell mode.
Of course, such a development is not desirable, so it is necessary to take a responsible approach to pressing the AH mode button and activating the Active hedging mode.
4. If all positions are closed, it is worth evaluating whether to continue trading Buy or it is better to wait for the trend to be favorable
To continue trading, it is enough to turn on the Trade Buy button.

2. At a certain moment, the Trend mode is enabled manualy, which allowed to increase the number of transactions. Then you should disable it.
3. The Spread max value on the Gain panel is too high. In this case, it is worth limiting the size of the spread for opening positions to the adviser parameter: Max spread for opening positions=500;
