A gold breakout Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, built around confirmed H1 swing levels, pending orders and explicit risk controls.
The EA waits for a qualified setup instead of entering on every candle. Three signal branches inspect H1 price structure at different confirmation depths. A signal-age filter rejects stale levels, while spread, session and risk checks decide whether a pending order can be placed.
HOW IT ENTERS
The tested configuration uses three H1 branches with swing strengths of 12, 13 and 14 bars. Each branch identifies confirmed highs and lows using closed candles. Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders are placed beyond qualified levels with a branch-specific price buffer.
The default signal-age limit is 48 H1 bars. If the latest confirmed levels are older than this limit, the EA waits. Quiet periods without orders are therefore part of the strategy, not a promise of continuous trading. All three branches use H1 in the tested preset; they are not three different timeframes.
Pending orders are reassessed on a new signal bar or at the configured refresh interval, with 15 seconds and 12-hour expiry in the tested preset. Trading hours use broker server time: 01:00 to before 22:00, with new entries disabled from 19:00 on Friday. The broker's trading session must also be open.
CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
1. DEFINED STOPS
Orders are submitted with stop-loss and take-profit levels. The tested preset uses a 2.00 price-unit stop and a 15.00 price-unit target on XAUUSDm. Once price has moved 2.00 units in favour, the profit-protection logic aims to retain 50% of the favourable price excursion by moving the stop. Price units are not pips or account dollars.
2. EXPOSURE CHECKS
The tested preset uses fixed 0.04 lots, a maximum of three combined positions and pending orders, a 2.5% estimated per-trade risk ceiling and a 2% estimated aggregate risk ceiling for this EA's trades. The aggregate ceiling may prevent additional entries. Margin availability and spread are also checked. These checks do not reserve capital against other robots on the account.
3. EQUITY SAFEGUARDS
Daily-loss and peak-equity drawdown stop conditions are configured at 2% and 8%. These are software triggers, not guaranteed maximum losses: gaps, slippage, execution delays and other account activity can affect the outcome. The tested fixed-lot preset does not multiply volume after a loss.
ON-CHART CONTROL PANEL
The collapsible panel shows balance, equity, spread, branch status, realised gross profit and loss, costs, realised net profit and floating P/L. Trade statistics are filtered to the EA's own order identifiers.
Controls include lot adjustment, cancellation of pending orders with entry pause, resuming entries and confirmed closure of the EA's own positions. Version 1.00 has English panel labels, input comments and log messages. Adjusting the lot or other inputs changes the tested configuration.
MEASURED RESULTS
The figures below are from MT5 Strategy Tester runs completed on 26 October 2026 on BARON Gold Sentinel 1.00. Fresh control runs on BARON MOON 6.00 produced identical report metrics at both tested delays. This verifies historical strategy equivalence for these runs; it is not MQL5 Market validation.

The reports passed the project's checks for completion, real-tick quality, absence of data warnings and unchanged binary hashes. This historical period was used during development; it is not an independent out-of-sample test. These are simulated results, not a live track record or a daily-income target. Past results do not guarantee future performance.
REQUIREMENTS AND SETUP
Use MetaTrader 5 and test the exact gold symbol offered by your broker. The validated configuration is XAUUSDm; other symbol names, contract sizes, spreads and trading conditions require separate testing. Use a hedging demo account to evaluate the separate-branch behaviour; equivalent behaviour on netting accounts has not been established.
The test reference is 1,000 USD at 0.04 lots, not a universal minimum deposit or a suitability recommendation. Start with the supplied preset in Strategy Tester, then evaluate on demo. The EA allows demo execution by default and disables live execution by default through AllowLiveExecution.
Keep MT5 connected during operation. An empty order list can mean the EA is outside its permitted hours, has no fresh qualified swing level, or is blocked by spread or risk checks. Consult the panel and Experts log before changing settings.
