The EA relies on data it receives from MQL5 economic calendar to trade, and that is data is not available on any back tests. So it's not possible to do any back test. Hence I withdrew the paid version and put a trial version to allow people to give it a try.

News trading has a lot to do with how

As for Sets,  It depends on 4 things:  (1) How the broker widens their spread before news (2)The currency pairs; e.g. GBPUSD and USDCHF have big spread compared to AUDUSD or EURUSD. (3) type of news event; e.g. NFP would become extremely (4) The broker itself.

The important thing with News Events is to not get stopped before the news event starts.  Generally using a SL = 100 points (10 pips) caters for all the above. The smallest SL = 60 points.

Most important Settings:

SL = 60-100 points

TP = 220 and higher depending on news event

Lot size = Equity dependent. Apply proper risk management. Use this MM strategy: If you have a $100, your loss per event should not exceed $10, this means you have 10  chances of trading.

BE start = 40-70 points. You want to BE as soon as possible to avoid any surprise reversals.

Trailing start = 50 - 100 points. This feature is a double edged sword, it can get you stopped (in profit) too early and not hold position. Also, some brokers will see this as PIP hunting and block you.

Seconds before news = 10 - 60 (40-60 is recommended). For events like NFP, make this as small as possible (20 seconds if your broker will allow it).
