mostly i'm confused on the bar trading and the signal shift.

Bar trading involves opening new orders only with the beginning of the opening of a new bar. If this option is disabled, orders will be placed regardless of the opening of a new bar.

At the expense of the signal, you can change (flip) the signal if desired. Then the purchase will be where the sale is now and the sale will be where the purchase is now! If you have any questions, write!

thanks for the reply. so, when i have new bar true, it should take the trade on the next candle right? is it the next candle on the time frame of the chart or the timeframe the indicator is set to?

Hi! No, this is only for the timeframe on which the Expert Advisor is installed! Only for opening orders...

i understand thanks for the replies. I have two final questions and i am all caught up. The bar to take signal from? what exactly does it do? And for the stop trading, does it stop completely? or does it wait for an opposite signal after close? thank you for your patient and time

Hi! I am glad to answer your questions, if there are any! When closing, the ADVISER immediately opens an order in the other direction. And as for the bar this is done so that when a drawdown does not open many orders. Trading on bars can save a deposit very well when strong news comes out... This option is made by me from experience.

really appreciate the answers i have a solid understanding now. i get the settings. but i did come into an issue. I have bar trading on and bar to take signal from set to 1. when i do the ea hardly takes trades anymore. But, when the candle signal is set to 0. it flips between trades instantly when the price is at the zero line. i'm trying to get it to take the trade one candle after the cross of the zero line and not instantly

That's right, for this you need to set the value to 1. This filters signals. Show in the screenshot when the filter = 1, the adviser opens at the intersection? Check the indicator settings on the chart and the indicator settings in the Expert Advisor are the same?
