Short description
Account guard for prop-firm and personal rules: daily loss limit, maximum drawdown, max trades per day and a trading-hours window. When a rule is hit it closes positions, deletes pending orders and keeps new trades closed until the block ends. It shows the live stats in a panel.
Full description
Most blown challenges come from one bad day, not from the strategy. ClearSpec Daily Loss Guard watches the account on every tick and enforces the limits you set, even when you're not at the screen.
Rules
- Daily loss limit, as a % or a fixed amount. Measured from the balance at the start of the day, or from the higher of balance and equity (the way many prop firms count it). It includes open (floating) P/L, closed P/L, swaps and commissions. You set the hour the new day starts (server time).
- Maximum drawdown, as a % or a fixed amount, from the initial balance (static) or from peak equity (trailing). When it's hit, the account stays locked even after a restart. An optional button can unlock it.
- Daily profit lock (optional). Stop for the day once a profit target is reached.
- Max new trades per day. Trades beyond the limit are closed straight away.
- Trading hours. A window in server time (overnight windows are fine), plus a weekend block. Trades opened outside the window are closed. It can also close everything when the window ends.
When a rule is hit
- It closes the positions in scope, deletes pending orders, and keeps closing any new position until the block ends: the next day for daily rules, permanently for drawdown.
- It sends a pop-up alert and, optionally, a push notification to your phone.
- Scope: the whole account (all symbols and EAs), the chart symbol only, or one magic number.
Panel
Status (TRADING ALLOWED / BLOCKED and why), the start-of-day base, today's P/L (closed and floating), the daily limit and how much of it is left, drawdown against the limit, trades today against the maximum, the trading window, server time, scope, account type, and the last event.
Important
- An MT5 program can't switch off other programs or manual trading, so the guard enforces the rules by closing trades. Keep the terminal running (a VPS is recommended) with the guard attached.
- Closing happens at market prices. In fast markets or gaps, the final loss can go past the limit.
- Check your prop firm's exact rules and set the guard slightly tighter than they are.
- Works on hedging and netting accounts. No DLLs, no web requests.
- Strategy Tester: with "Sample trades in the Strategy Tester" on, it opens sample trades in the tester only, so you can watch the limits trigger in visual mode.
This is a risk-control tool. It does not trade for profit and gives no guarantee of any result.
