Directional Movement (DMI) is a collection of three separate indicators combined into one. Directional Movement consists of the Average Directional Index (ADX), Plus Directional Indicator (+DI) and Minus Directional Indicator (-DI).

 

This customized DMI indicator is made up of the same 3 lines of the DMI (ADX, +DI, -DI), but is broken up into 3 sections (windows). Each of the 3 sections is made up of 3 lines with different parameters.

The parameters are as follows:

·         ADX Cluster: 3, 4, 5 periods

·         +DI lines: 5, 8, 14 periods

·         -DI lines: 5, 8, 14 periods

 

These parameter values, as well as the colours, can be amended in the input window, where the system will use these values to generate out the lines. 

 

This indicator should work on both MT4 and MT5 platform.
