Description: simple engulfing candle pattern experiment. Where engulfing candles are a candle that’s main body engulfs the previous candle’s main body.

Entry:

  • Bullish engulfing candle - place buy trade at closing, SL at opening price

  • Bearish engulfing candle - place sell trade at closing price, SL at opening price

Settings:

Engulfing candle parameters:

  • Candle must be at least X pips from open to close (0 is off)

  • Candle must be at least X times as large a previous candle (1 is off)

  • Money management

  • TP - X pips

  • Manual SL - on/off, X pips

  • Lot sizing

  • fixed/dynamic

  • Fixed - X lots

  • Dynamic - use X lots for ever $X in balance. E.g 0.01 $100 $5000 balance = 0.5, $5100b = 0.51, $5200 = 0.52

  • spread filter - do not place trade if spread>X
