XAU Symmetry Protocol MT5
A disciplined XAUUSD system with a fixed, rule-based execution routine and state-driven protective management.
XAU Symmetry Protocol MT5 is built for one purpose: to apply the same repeatable decision routine to gold on every session, without discretion and without escalation. It works from a single chart, needs no indicator to be installed, and behaves identically on any timeframe because it reacts to ticks rather than to candle closes.
The system is deliberately narrow in scope. It does not multiply volume, does not average a losing position, and does not accumulate an unlimited number of orders. Position sizing is what you set in the inputs, and protection is handled by Stop Loss logic that moves only in your favour.
What you control: lot size, entry distance, initial Stop Loss distance, trailing distance, trailing step, a maximum acceptable spread and the identifying number used to manage its own orders. That is the whole configuration — there is nothing else to tune.
Design principles
- One instrument, done properly. Written for XAUUSD; use your broker's exact symbol name, including any suffix.
- No escalation. No martingale lot multiplication, no grid accumulation, no averaging of losing positions.
- Fixed configuration. No hidden dynamic settings, no account-dependent behaviour changes, no time-based expiry or licence restrictions.
- Broker-aware. Every request is validated against broker volume, stop, freeze, session and margin rules before it is sent, so the EA refuses invalid requests instead of forwarding them.
- Spread discipline. A configurable spread ceiling prevents new entries during unusually wide spread conditions. Open positions and their protection are never affected by it.
Setup
Attach to one XAUUSD chart and enable Algo Trading. A hedging account is the intended operating mode. The logic is tick-driven, so no specific chart timeframe is required.
Inputs
- InpLots — order volume.
- InpEntryOffsetPrice — price distance used when preparing an entry (a price value, not pips).
- InpInitialSLDistancePips — initial protective Stop Loss distance in pips.
- InpTrailingGapPips — trailing distance in pips.
- InpTrailingStepPips — minimum improvement required before protection is moved again.
- InpMaxSpreadPips — maximum spread allowed for a new entry.
- InpMagicNumber — identifier used to manage only this EA's orders and positions.
Operating notes
The EA has no built-in Take Profit; positions are managed through protective Stop Loss logic. XAUUSD contract size, margin requirements, spread, slippage, execution quality and broker stop/freeze levels vary between brokers.
