News Countdown Panel keeps the next important economic release in view. A small panel shows how long is left until the next event of the chart's currencies, so a news spike does not catch you by surprise.

How it works

- Events come from the economic calendar built into MetaTrader 5, through the standard Calendar functions.

- By default it uses the currencies of the chart symbol (for example EUR and USD on EURUSD, or USD on gold). You can type your own list, such as "USD,GBP".

- You choose the importance: high only (default), medium and high, or all events.

- The panel shows:

- the currency and a live countdown (days, hours, minutes, seconds), updated every second;

- the event name;

- the release time with the forecast and previous values when the calendar provides them.

- The countdown turns amber in the last 15 minutes (adjustable).

- After an event passes, the panel moves to the next one. The event list is reloaded every 5 minutes.

Inputs

Currencies, importance, highlight time in minutes, countdown font size, panel corner.

Limits

- Event times are shown in the trade server's time, as provided by the terminal's calendar.

- The calendar is not available in the Strategy Tester; there the panel shows that no event was found.

- Schedules and forecasts can change. Check the terminal's Calendar tab for the full details.

The indicator shows times only. It does not trade or give signals.
