Hunt is a trend-following Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (gold) with a grid recovery system.
How it works
The first order of each basket opens in the direction of the trend, defined by EMA 50 and EMA 200 on the H1 timeframe. If the price moves against the basket, the EA adds recovery orders at fixed distances. Lot sizes grow by a multiplier in three phases. The whole basket closes together when the total profit reaches the Basket TP in money.

Recommendations
- Symbol: XAUUSD (any broker suffix). The default settings are designed for gold.
- Account: hedging account is recommended.
- Use a VPS for continuous operation.

Input parameters
All distances are in gold points. 1 point = 0.01 of the gold price.
General
- Magic Number: identifies the orders of this EA. Use a different number on each chart.
- Start lot: lot size of the first order.
- Max lot per order: largest lot for any single order (0 = off).
- Max spread for new basket: a new basket does not open when the spread is higher (0 = off).
- Max slippage: allowed price deviation for orders.
Recovery
- Recovery mode: Hunt 3-phase or DRAGON-B fixed table.
- Hunt-1 / Hunt-2 / Hunt-3 Steps: last order number of each phase (counted from the first recovery order). Maximum orders = Hunt-3 Steps + 1.
- Hunt-1 / Hunt-2 / Hunt-3 Force: lot multiplier for each new order in the phase.
- Hunt-1 / Hunt-2 / Hunt-3 Range: distance between orders in the phase.
Basket Exit
- Basket TP: closes the whole basket when its profit reaches this amount.
- Basket Stop: closes the whole basket when its loss reaches this amount (0 = off).
- Basket TP / Stop include commission: counts opening and estimated closing commission.
Daily and Safety
- Daily target: no new baskets after the closed profit of the day reaches this amount (0 = off).
- Pause after Stop: hours without new baskets after a Basket Stop (0 = off).
Time Filter
- Enable time filter, Start time, End time: new baskets open only inside this window (computer time). Open baskets are always managed.
News Filter
- Enable News Shield: no new baskets around economic news.
- High / Medium / Low impact news: which news levels to use.
- Stop before news / Resume after news: minutes before and after the news.
- News currency: currencies to watch, separated by commas (for example USD).
Chart
- Show dashboard, Show basket TP line, TP line color.
- Reset Max DD record on start: clears the stored maximum drawdown.
Risk warning
This EA uses a grid and lot multiplier (martingale) method. A long price move against the basket can create a large drawdown. Set Start lot, Max lot and Basket Stop according to your balance and risk tolerance. Past results do not guarantee future results.
