GridHedge Pro — Bidirectional grid with martingale and active hedge for XAUUSD
GridHedge Pro is a specialized MT5 advisor built on the research stack of the Freedom Pro FX team. The algorithm implements a bidirectional grid-martingale strategy with active hedging — it enters the market simultaneously in both directions, averages when moving against a position, hedges the skewed side of the basket and closes everything according to the total Take Profit. Without waiting for signals. Without predicting the direction.
How the algorithm works:
Seed pair — on an empty basket, the ADVISER opens BUY and SELL with the same lot at the same time.
Geometric grid — when PipStep = 325 pt moves against the direction, an averaging order opens with a lot × LotExponent = 1.5.
Active hedge — when the dominant side accumulates HedjOrdCount = 5 orders, a counter-hedge opens with a lot last_lot / 2.5. The margin balance is restored without a complete basket flip.
Total Take Profit — after each new order, the weighted average entry is recalculated, TP is set to avg ± 350 pt. The entire basket of one direction is closed at the same time.
Candle pause — averaging is limited to M15-bar openings, excluding tick-level spam in the grid.
Safety limiters (v2.30):
The three hard limits are enabled by default and require an explicit action to change.:
InpMaxLotHardCap = 0.50 is a hard lot ceiling for each order, regardless of the depth of the martingale.
InpMaxMarginPct = 10% — pre-flight OrderCalcMargin + OrderCheck before each trade; orders that exceed 10% of the free margin are rejected or reduced.
InpMinEquityPct = 30% — if equity falls below 30% of the starting value of the session, the basket is forcibly closed and trading stops. A hard stop without persuasion.
Additionally: broker stop/freeze-level checks on each SL modification, quiet CTrade (clean Experts log), full status panel on the chart.
Verified tool:
The metrics were obtained in MT5 Strategy Tester, the initial deposit is $10,000, RoboForex ECN data with realistic spreads.
Sanity run (Model=1, 16 days, January 2026): Net Profit +$5,130 | Profit Factor 2.47 | Max DD 7.73% | Trades 1,091 | WR 74-78%.

Why GridHedge Pro?

This is not the grail.
GridHedge Pro does not work without drawdowns, it is a component of the algorithm. The expected maximum drawdown in the worst month is 15-25%, you need to be prepared for this and take risks.
Never launch on a live account without at least 30 days of demo forward test. Read Risk_Management_Guide_EN.pdf section 4 before launching.
