GoldDragon v1.40 Update — Safe / Standard / Aggressive
All three editions have been updated to v1.40.
- One internal strategy module has been upgraded.
Backtests show more consistent results across brokers
and lower sensitivity to spread.
- Restart safety improved: daily trading state is preserved
after terminal/VPS restarts, preventing duplicate entries.
- Other modules and risk settings are unchanged.
The update is free and automatic.
After updating (Market tab > Update), please remove and
re-attach the EA on your chart so the new version runs.
Open positions continue to be managed normally.

GoldDragon v1.30 — Update Notes
Improved exit logic (trend-following component)
The partial-exit timing of one of the internal strategies has been refined. Profits are now secured earlier on a portion of the position, while the remaining portion keeps following the trend as before.
In our tests over the same period, overall profit stayed virtually unchanged, while the strategy's floating drawdown was reduced and the recovery factor improved.
Lot calculation fix
Fixed a rare rounding issue in partial closing that could, at certain lot multipliers, close a slightly smaller volume than intended. Partial closes now always match the intended volume.
No changes to settings
Input parameters, risk structure, and stop-loss protection remain the same.
No grid, no martingale. Every position is protected by a fixed stop-loss.
Simply replace the old file with v1.30. Open positions will continue to be managed normally.

My first serious loss came from a system that looked perfect. Smooth curve,
high win rate, small drawdown. It ran beautifully for four months, then took
most of the account in under two weeks. It took me far too long to understand
why: the curve had not been smooth because the strategy was good. It had been
smooth because the losses were being deferred.

The screenshot below is not my best result. It is my most honest one.
It is GoldDragon running with a FIXED LOT — no compounding, no scaling,
the same 0.01 from the first trade to the last. $1,000 deposit, 20 months,
2,453 trades, every tick, 99% history quality.
Net profit $14,758 | Drawdown 17.48% | Profit Factor 1.96 | Recovery 27.72
Why show you the smaller number first?
Because when you see a gold EA advertising 6,000% returns, you should assume
one of two things is happening. Either the lot size is being increased after
losses — martingale wearing a different name — or the deposit was inflated to
make the drawdown percentage look small. Both are common. Both end the same way.
So here is my compounded result, side by side with the fixed-lot one:
Fixed lot — $14,758 | DD 17.48% | PF 1.96
Safe (5x) — $65,139 | DD 21.90% | PF 1.92
Standard (10x) — $104,425 | DD 21.10% | PF 2.10
Aggressive (20x) — $177,192 | DD 21.79% | PF 2.15
Now look at the Profit Factor column. 1.96 → 1.92 → 2.10 → 2.15.
It barely moves.
That is the whole point. If lots were being increased after losses, compounding
would distort that number badly. It does not, because the position size is tied
only to how much the balance has grown — never to whether the last trade won or
lost. The bigger profit comes from 20 months of growth, not from risk stacking.
And look at the drawdown column. All three grades sit in the same 21% range at
their recommended deposits. Same trades, same moments, same direction — only the
position size differs. That is the entire difference between the three grades.
What stays non-negotiable:
✅ No grid
✅ No martingale
✅ No averaging into losses
✅ Fixed stop loss on every position — no trade left unprotected
✅ No deposit tricks, no account resets, no cherry-picked brokers
✅ XAUUSD M5, IC Markets optimized
✅ 20 years of live trading behind every parameter
A Profit Factor of 1.9 is not exciting. A 21% drawdown is not comfortable to
publish. But they are real, and they held across 2,453 trades. I would rather
show you numbers you can survive than numbers that look good in a screenshot.
