Look where it opens 2 or three of the exact same positions
In fact I just checked - this EA does NOT operate the same in live as in test. It will open positions correctly and the opposite position will open at the highest of the other oposite position. For example if I have buy positions in lots 0.01,0.02 and 0.04, the opposite will start at 0.04. Also as mentioned sometimes up to three identical trades. Please assist urgently

1) Regarding the simultaneous opening of identical orders:
Such an opening is possible if you launched the adviser in several places at the same time. For example, if you have launched an expert advisor on your VPS trading account and on your computer.
Check it out, this kind of work can be very dangerous.
2) In your screenshot, I did not see orders with a volume of 0.04, I see the correct opening of averaging orders. There are also no problems with opening volumes on our live signal, everything works correctly there as well.
Please send me more information about this by private message. In order for me to understand what problem you have, I have to recreate it on my computer.
Please send additional information: screenshots with your input settings and screenshots of tabs: "trading", "journal", "expert" from your trading terminal. Please expand these fields as much as possible so that I can see more information. Also describe what instrument you used the product on, what type of account and what timeframe.
3) The EA works in the same way in the strategy toaster and live trading.
4) AW Double grids is an Expert Advisor that trades two-way trading with a pair of multidirectional orders.
One side is the minimum volume, and the second side is multiplied in accordance with the settings when the order grid increases.
AW Double grids always opens orders in two directions. Each new pair of orders is opened when one of the previous pair of orders is closed.

I currently have the following settings:

Size of first order: 0.01
Auto lot deposit per 0.01 lots: 10000
Type of multiplier for size: Last order lots *Multiplier for size
Multiplier for size of orders: 1.05
TAKE PROFIT SETTINGS
Size of Virtual TakeProfit(in points): 25
Increase TP for each order: 25
PROTECTION SETTINGS
Maximum slippage in points: 1000
Maximum size of orders: 0.2
Maximum number of orders: 200
Please hep me. My drawdown is currently 24%

The Expert Advisor uses averaging in its work, which means that landings can occur during its operation, since this is a very aggressive trading advisor.
If we talk about your settings - I can immediately notice that they are very aggressive. The EA opens a new pair at the moment of closing by TP, that is, you have a very small distance between averaging orders. In my settings, most often Tp is 200 or 300 points, while yours is only 25, it is better to increase this variable. Please pay attention to the TP, its current size(only 25) forms very aggressive settings for you, most likely it should be increased.
Also, due to the aggressiveness of the adviser when working with small deposits or when only a small DD is needed, cent accounts may be a good solution.

hey do i need to optimize Qstep if i didnt restrict opening new orders after close
Hi, been more than year for an update, would you please consider adding the below 2 parameters to make the EA more stable, I have another grid EA with this feature and it improves performance by taking equity loss on a basket sooner.
If the value is 0, it is disabled.
