Usagi FX — A 3-Engine Portfolio Trading System
Most Expert Advisors run one strategy on one pair and hope the market keeps cooperating. Usagi FX is built differently: it runs three independent trading engines across a curated portfolio of major and cross currency pairs, with every pair individually assigned to whichever engine (or combination of engines) has actually proven itself on that specific pair — not a single "one-size-fits-all" system forced onto every symbol.
Three Engines, One Account, Zero Overlap
- Engine 1 — Trend: rides sustained directional moves with its own multi-layer confirmation and an adaptive DCA recovery grid.
- Engine 2 — Breakout / Reversal: reacts to exhaustion and momentum shifts with a fully independent signal, risk, and money-management stack — it never shares a decision with Engine 1.
- Engine 3 — Pivot Zone Reversal: fades price at statistically-derived structural levels, on the small set of pairs where this behavior has actually held up out-of-sample.
Every engine that touches a given symbol shares one order-management core and one position slot per pair, so they can never fight each other or double up risk on the same symbol at the same time.
Validated the Way a Quant Desk Would, Not the Way Most EAs Are
The single biggest reason most "profitable backtest" EAs fail in live trading is simple: they were tuned and tested on the same stretch of history. Usagi FX's entire pair × engine assignment was decided the opposite way — every candidate was screened pair by pair, engine by engine, across multiple independent, non-overlapping multi-year windows, and only kept where it held up in every window, not just the best one. Pairs that only looked good in a single lucky stretch were cut. What shipped is what survived.
Risk Management That Actually Layers
This is where Usagi FX spends most of its intelligence — not on finding one more entry trick, but on making sure no single bad stretch can do lasting damage:
| Proactive Margin-Level Guard | Closes everything before your broker's own stop-out triggers — not after. |
| Daily Loss & Basket Loss Caps | Locks out new risk for the day the moment your own limits are hit. |
| Correlation-Aware Position Sizing | Blocks hidden double-exposure across correlated pairs (EURUSD/GBPUSD-style clusters) before it happens. |
| Smart Adaptive Recovery | The DCA/grid logic isn't a blind averaging spiral — it has hard distance and loss ceilings, and gives a recovering trade room instead of cutting or chasing blindly. |
| Pre-Trade Margin Check | Every order is checked against your actual free margin before it's sent, never guessed. |
| News & Session Filters | Automatically steps aside around high-impact calendar events and outside your chosen trading sessions. |
| Weekend-Gap Protection | Stops opening fresh risk ahead of the Friday close. |
Runs Itself, Reports Honestly
A built-in live economic calendar dashboard shows exactly what news is coming and why a trade did or didn't fire — no black box. Inputs are reduced to what you'll actually want to touch (position sizing, session hours, risk caps); the tuned entry logic behind each engine ships locked at its validated defaults, so there's no dial to accidentally break the strategy with.
Recommended Setup
- ECN/Raw-spread broker account, low latency — the DCA logic is spread-sensitive by design.
- VPS recommended for uninterrupted 24/5 operation.
- Works on any account size; lot sizing scales automatically with your balance.
- Always test on demo first and size positions to your own risk tolerance — past validation is not a promise of future results.
Usagi FX doesn't promise a grail. It promises a system that was actually stress-tested the hard way, with more effort spent on what happens when a trade goes wrong than on the entry itself.
