You can connect the EA to OpenAI using your own API key. Your API key belongs to you, and OpenAI API usage is billed separately according to your API usage and selected model.
How to set it up:
1. OpenAI Platform link: https://platform.openai.com/login
2. Create an API key
3. Make sure API access/billing is available on your OpenAI account
Important: API usage is separate from a ChatGPT subscription. Current API usage is charged according to the model and number of tokens used.
4. Add the API key to NXH
Open: NX Hunter → Inputs → OpenAI / AI Settings
Paste your API key into the OpenAI API Key field.
5. Enable the OpenAI AI mode
Save the settings and let NXH connect to the OpenAI service. That's it.
Important: You don't need an API key to use the built-in Simulated AI. The OpenAI connection is an optional upgrade for users who want to use their own OpenAI API.
Tip: API usage is paid separately, so we recommend checking OpenAI's current pricing before enabling frequent AI requests.
