The EA isn't bad, but the DD is out of control. It seems to me that there is no real recovery strategy other than grid or martingale and waiting for the price to return to the opening value. I solved the problem by using a Drawdown Monitor EA (e.g., this one https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/156389 or others) and setting the maximum value I can accept in currency. That way, I'm sure I won't blow up my account.
